Why Jax volunteers . . .

It’s Volunteers’ Week 3 – 9 June 2024.

Discover why Jax, our Office Supervisor, is passionate about volunteering with the Hereford Hit Squad.

“Volunteering for me, is a way to give back to the community and make a positive impact. It allows me to contribute to causes I care about and is incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our actions, even if they’re small. It also provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, I’ve met wonderful people while volunteering. Believe it or not, volunteering positively impacts physical and mental health. I find it reduces stress & boosts my mood. When I volunteer, I feel a sense of purpose, which contributes to overall well-being. Volunteering might not change the world overnight, but it does create ripples. Remember, volunteering isn’t just about selflessness; it’s a two-way street. While I give my time and energy, I receive invaluable experiences, personal growth, and a deeper connection to humanity. So, if you haven’t tried volunteering yet, consider giving it a shot—you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve!”
