What is Strategic Management & Leadership?

Strategic Management and Leadership are two of the most key concepts for any successful business or organisation. Aspects of Strategic Management involve planning, implementation and monitoring of long-term goals, ambitions, and objectives of the business. Covering all the analysis of the internal and external environment that the organisation operates within, looking for the strengths and weaknesses, and developing or adjusting strategies based on ever changing business environments.

Leadership specifically refers to the ability to influence and guide others towards achieving such common goals. This can include inspiring, motivating and empowering colleagues or employees to achieve their, and by extension the organisation’s, potential.

Both skills are essential for managers and executives in order to make informed decisions, inspire employees and drive organisational growth.

What are the benefits of a Strategic Management & Leadership Qualification?

The Level 7 qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership are developed for the those of you who are seeking higher education or career development and are capable of converting organisational strategy into effective leadership and management.

With the support MEP provides, it is our aim to enable you to succeed and still have a work / life / study balance. Through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and with regular assistance from your mentor, you will be guided and supported throughout the duration of your studying. Each stage of the programme can be completed at any time and place. In contrast to standard two and three years of degree programme, the Level-7 complete course requires around eight to eighteen months for completion.

On successful completion of the full Extended Diploma, the award of 120 credit points at Masters Level (Level 7) will allow you to progress your education to ‘top-up’ to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at a range of UK universities. In your second year this can be done by entirely distance or part-time study.

Our preferred partners are The University of Northampton and Cardiff Metropolitan University. You will complete the ‘top-up’ year, by submitting a short essay and a final dissertation on a topic of your choice.
