Our standard Level 7 programme is a perfect fit for many – teaching leadership by drawing on the learner’s own experience.
HOWEVER, your organisation might need something more. Something to meet the nuanced challenges your leaders are facing.
A challenge that’s inflated in your line of work? That ties into regulations, or narrows your focus on skills?
If so, there’s a bespoke route to Level 7 that might suit you better. A chance to laser in on the few things that matter most – readying your team for the unique road ahead.
Well lets be honest, “bespoke” covers a lot of bases. It could mean anything, from a minor add-on to a programme built from scratch – and then is it unique to your field, or to your operation?
All of which begs the question… “how bespoke is ‘bespoke’?”
ANSWER: we will customise as much as you need, and no more.
We’ll take every step to make your programme relevant to your team, by drawing on industry practice and real life scenarios. But where a standardised lesson fits the bill, we don’t reinvent for the sake of it – we merge it with the custom learning, to save you time and money.
We’ll know what bespoke means to you when you get in touch.
We’ll discuss:
YOUR SECTOR, and all the external pressures that are bearing down. Financial matters… governance… sensitivities… innovation… everything the outside world is bringing to your door.
PLUS –
YOUR ORGANISATION, and all your internal issues: culture… skillsets… conflicts… sales and retention… streamlining… the tricky paths your future leaders will learn to navigate.
Armed with this, we’ll make a recommendation that’s unique to you. We might say:
1 – You don’t need bespoke – our standard Level 7 programme has it all covered.
OR:
2 – You need this specific, tailored route to Level 7.
OR:
3 – You need custom training, but skip the qualification – this is only for skills.
All doors are open until we understand your training goals and challenges.
You Will Learn
Naturally, we can’t give you an exact list of learning outcomes, as this programme stems from your agenda, not ours. So it’s more of a “skills buffet”, where every lesson is chosen on merit.
Once we’ve uncovered your priorities, we can get into the detail. Starting with all the staple components of leadership coaching:
Strategic Management & Leadership
Strategic Change Management
Research Methods
Project Management
Strategic Human Resource Management
Financial Principles
Strategic Marketing
Some will be vital to you, some useful, and some may not be needed. So we’ll choose your topics – and explore others you might want to blend in – then look at practical adaptations: how to present each lesson through the lens of your activity.
THE IMPACT BOOST OF COACHING
Our tailored programme will give your team a relevant, contextualised introduction to leadership. But that’s only the first step.
When it comes to delivery, we coach and mentor each person one-to-one. Mining their experience, to find a deeper connection.
In other words, “bespoke” is working on two levels:
Tailored for your operation… and again for the individual.
Where will it lead?
It depends on what you – and your team – want to achieve.
If you want pure skills training, with no end qualification, this is about your team pulling in one direction – efficiently tackling highly specific challenges.
On the other hand, if it’s part of a Level 7 qualification, you’ll have a leadership team with more rounded skills and perspectives. And if they choose, they’ll have the credits to study for a Masters.
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”
Michael Jordan
Either way, it’s a win-win for you as an organisation.
You’re future-proofing, by upskilling your leaders and lining up a new generation.
You’re problem-solving. Digging into real issues, to find better ways of working.
All while building a leadership team that shares a common purpose.
Let’s look at where you are today, and the future you want to create.
That’s the beauty of bespoke – nothing is prescribed. We can deliver your custom programme remotely or onsite, through a blend of course materials, group sessions and one-to-one coaching.
AT A GLANCE:
Delivery: onsite or distance learning via Microsoft Teams Education.
Materials: we’ll agree the content and format, to suit the needs of your team.
Support: one-to-one guidance through each module, with mentorship and coaching from a personal tutor.
Assessment: optional. For Level 7, learners submit coursework and presentations. Or if you prefer to sidestep the qualification, we can add a less formal assessment.
Duration: typically 12 – 24 months, but you’ll be setting the pace.
Course Dates: fill in the form below and we’ll discuss practicalities.
FAQs
Yes, it’s a custom-fit. We’ll be looking at the leadership challenges you face, and devising a programme that gives your team the exact set of skills and knowledge they need to work more effectively.
Our trainers and coaches come from diverse backgrounds, so there’s every chance they have direct experience in your line of work. More importantly though, they’re experts in applying leadership and management principles to meet specific challenges. So whatever your field, your programme is tailored to your exact situation.
There’s no fixed entry standard, as we’re interested in people and their experience – not formal qualifications.
When we talk, we’d like to know more about your team and the work they’ve done so far. If they have some hands-on experience – as part of a team or leading one – then we have something to work with. We can devise a programme around their strengths and training needs… then at the coaching stage, we’ll relate back to the work they’ve done, to help each lesson bed in.
Typically, a custom programme leads to a BTEC Level 7 in Strategic Management and Leadership. However, that’s up to you – if you prefer to narrow your focus to a niche set of skills, we can bypass the qualification and just equip your team for a specific challenge.
Yes, if they pass Level 7. This earns them 120 credits, which will qualify them to study for an MBA – we work with many universities who accept this as an entry qualification.
Alternatively, there’s a non-bespoke route that will fast-track them to a Masters. This might suit you if you’re developing a smaller leadership team – take a look at our MBA programme with Cardiff Metropolitan University.
There’s no set limit. Let’s talk about your people and the skills you need to develop, then we’ll agree numbers between us.

Re-entering an academic training environment was a daunting prospect after several years decades away from it!
In hindsight there really was no need whatsoever for concern, the Minerva Team are small and perfectly formed, from my initial first contact through to finishing the qualification they were always there to support me every step of the way.

We have worked with MEP to shape this delivery, so it meets the requirements of an ever-changing programme.
MEP has shown flexibility, adapting to the changes we require in a cooperative and positive manner. This is what is needed when delivering a programme that changes on a frequent basis. I highly recommend Minerva Elite Performance and feel that they will provide excellent support to other Local Authorities and organisations.

We at Balfour Beatty strive to create a safe working environment for all our staff.
This is sometimes assured through impactful training on topics that add value to the daily operations of all our internal stakeholders. Minerva Elite Performance worked incredibly hard to ensure that the training was engaging, thought-provoking, but most importantly added operational value.

MEP has been the trusted training partner for the Gulab Sorkh Foundation as we seek to build independence in the Afghan evacuees we support.
They have developed an excellent programme of English language training with an emphasis on good citizenship and employment skills. This is delivered by MEP professionals sensitively and effectively. The MEP service has been truly first rate and we couldn’t recommend them more.
