Community Learning

Custom training with a route to recognised qualifications

Community learning holds the key. Delivering new skills, through relatable education – tailored for local, cultural or other specific needs.

    Employability & Language Skills

For any local community that needs a second chance. We’ll focus on practical, in-demand skills and the tools to find employment, including English language tuition as an optional unit.

  • Education & Training

There are natural teachers in every community, ready to make a difference. Develop their skills and they’ll cascade their knowledge locally – starting a new culture of people upskilling people.

  • Participants in a bespoke government training and development workshop, with a learner asking a question during a coaching session.

    Set Your Own Training Agenda

We deliver the training that your community needs: language skills, teaching, job seeking, management…we don’t specify, we work with you towards a target outcome.

Learning Outcomes

Every community has its challenges, so there’s no standard outcome. We’ll work with you to deliver what’s needed. For example:

  • Employability – from job seeking to interview techniques.
  • Language skills – ESOL training to improve career prospects.
  • IT skills –computer literacy and use of applications.
  • Financial literacy – managing money for a household or business.
  • First Aid – emergency care in a variety of settings.
  • Personal wellbeing – techniques to improve quality of life.
  • Leadership –using transferable skills, to build a new career.
  • Education –teaching and training skills for learners of all ages.
  • And any other training that creates a positive outcome for the people you serve.

Every community training package is tailored to the needs of learners. Let’s discuss your community and devise a programme together.

When, Where & How

Every programme is different, but for general guidance:

  • Delivery: all sessions are tutor-led, and some programmes will have an element of self-directed learning.
  • Materials: a mix of practical exercises, videos, handouts and more – to be determined.
  • Support: typically, one tutor supports up to 12 learners.
  • Assessment: practical and written exercises, many leading to recognised qualifications.
  • Duration: start and finish dates to be agreed.
  • Course Dates: fill in the form below for dates and availability.

“We have worked with MEP to shape this delivery, so it meets the requirements of an ever-changing programme. MEP has shown flexibility, adapting to the changes we require in a cooperative and positive manner. This is what is needed when delivering a programme that change on a frequent basis.

The tutors working at our offices are highly trained, adaptable, and professional. They have built excellent relationships with the learners and the staff on our projects. I feel that their conduct and professionalism is outstanding and fits within the corporate environment that we work.

I highly recommend Minerva Elite Performance and feel that they will provide excellent support to other Local Authorities and organisations.”
