Level 3 Award in Education & Training

Face to Face or Distance Learning for Individuals

6 weeks – 4 months

This Level 3 award gives you a way in. Whether you’re starting out or already practising, it gives you the tools to build your early career, and the opportunity to train for the next level.

What’s the best way to hone your teaching skills?

Everyone learns differently, so we offer two routes to this award.

There’s an online version that gives you all the information you need – the principles of education, with teaching tools you can bring out in a classroom. It’s perfect for any aspiring teacher with the confidence to move straight from theory to practice.

Alternatively, there’s a more tangible… more immersive… approach. Join us twice a week here in Hereford, where we’ll mix practical exercises with personal coaching and feedback. These sessions give you hands-on experience of teaching in a live setting and interacting with learners.

Either route will lead you to a recognised qualification, and give you the foundations for a career in teaching or training.

But which is right for you? That’s something we can discuss…

You Will Learn

As an educator, you’ll need many skills. Not just the ability to impart your knowledge – the real skill is adapting to the needs of different learners. Speaking to their motivations… sharing their frames of reference… teaching to their learning styles… it all goes with the territory.

So this Level 3 qualification gives you those essentials, and more. You’ll learn:

  • Your roles and responsibilities as an educator.
  • How to motivate and manage reluctant learners.
  • Handling disruption in a classroom setting.
  • Charting the progress of each learner, towards a target outcome.
  • Inclusive teaching styles to support every type of learner.
  • Diverse assessment methods to maximise understanding.

Whether you’re working with children, school leavers, students or professionals, this flexible toolkit will help you deliver lessons that get the most out of every learner.

Build your career, your way

You can use your new foundational skills any way you choose:

And if you’re new to education, it’s going to give you options – you’ll have a reputable qualification that will steer you into a new career, where many doors are open.

If you’re a practising trainer, it’s a fast, effective way to validate your experience and target new opportunities.

If you work in a school, as a classroom assistant, it can start you on the road to becoming a teacher.

When, Where & How

You can work on your own remotely, or work with us in person. We’ll discuss both options further when you get in touch.
